Set preferences for post view legends

You can set the placement of legends, their format, and whether they are displayed.

1. Choose File tab→Preferences→Post Processing.

2. On the Legend tab, from the Format list, select the notational system used to display results values.

3. If you set Format to Fixed Point or Scientific, set the number of decimal places for fixed-point numerals and scientific notation. Choose a value from 0 to 9.

4. From the Default Legend Position list, select the default placement of legends. Subsequent legends are displayed to the right.

5. To display multiple legends for post view overlays, select the Multiple Legends for Postview Overlays check box.

6. To display multiple legends for post view overlays, select the Multiple Legends for Postview Overlays check box.

7. To set how the legend header appears, select one of the following:To display no header, select None.To automatically generate the header text based on your solution, select Default.The software displays the current Simulation, solution, step or subcase, result and result component, and minimum and maximum, values, units, coordinate system, and deformation used.To specify the information to include, select Customized.For more information, see Customizing the post view legend.

8. Click OK.
