Define normal enforced acceleration (Abaqus)

The Normal type lets you select element or geometry faces to define an enforced acceleration normal to the selected surface.

  1. Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Constraint Type list→Enforced Acceleration .

  2. In the Enforced Acceleration Constraint dialog box, from the Type list, select Normal.

  3. In the Model Objects group, click Select Object and select the curve, point, mesh point, polygon face/edge, or element to apply the enforced acceleration to.

  4. In the Magnitude group, in the Acceleration box, enter the acceleration as constant values or expressions. For more information, see Expressions.

  5. Click OK.
