FEM file

The FEM (.fem) file has the following characteristics:

  • It is not an assembly and contains no components.

  • It is the master model for the Simulation file. You can reuse a single component FEM file as the master model for multiple Simulation files.

  • It contains nodes, elements, and physical and material property tables.

  • It may be associative or non-associative. Associative FEM files contain CAD-derived polygon geometry for meshing.
