Graph results across multiple iterations

You must have set up a post view of the results you want to graph and set it to the contour plot color display.

  1. In the Post Processing Navigator, right-click the post view and choose New Graph .

  2. From the Type list, select Across Iterations.

  3. Define the X-axis. In the X Axis group:From the Display list, choose the units to display along the X-axis.The unit you select filters the available results domains for the start and end load case or iteration. For example, if you specify Frequency for the display units, only load cases or iterations in the frequency domain are available. From the Start Iteration and/or Start Load Case list, select the first iteration or load case. From the End Iteration and/or End Load Case list, select the last iteration or load case.(Optional) In the Step box, type a step size to skip the specified number of iterations.

  4. Select one or more entities to define the magnitude of the Y-axis. In the Y Axis group, from the Method list:Select Pick from Model. From the Pick list, select a selection method, and then select the entities in the graphics window.Select By Node ID or By Element ID. Type labels in the Node Label or Element Label box, and click for each label you enter.By Node ID appears in the list when you are displaying nodal results; By Element ID appears when you are displaying elemental or element-nodal results.Select Node in Group or Element in Group. From the Group list, select a group or selection recipe, and then click .Node in Group appears in the list when you are displaying nodal results; Element in Group appears when you are displaying elemental or element-nodal results.Select Inferred Point. Select points on feature edges or faces.

  5. (Optional) If you defined the entities by picking from the model, by entity ID, or by group, to display annotations of the selected entities, select the Create Annotation for Selection check box. Tip: Control the display of annotations using the visibility check boxes under the Annotations node in the Post Processing Navigator. Move and delete the annotations as you do any annotation in post processing. For more information, see Annotating post views.

  6. Click OK.

  7. If the Viewport dialog bar appears:To display the graph in the Graphics region, click Select Viewport by Cursor and click a viewport. To display the graph in a separate graph window, click Create New Window .
