Abaqus laminate results
Depending on the exported Abaqus element, you are able to compute the following results:
Section forces. They are displayed in the Post Processing Navigator as shell stress resultants.
Ply stresses and strains
Failure criteria for all failure theories supported by Abaqus.
Note:
Shell stress resultant results use the element coordinate system.
Ply stress and strain results use the ply coordinate system. In post processing, the coordinate system information of ply results is displayed as Coord sys: Native. This indicates that the results are extracted from the solver results file without transformation.
Abaqus requires material properties in the out-of-plane direction, while Laminate Composites does not.
Abaqus ply results can be seen in the Post Processing Navigator only at the top of the top ply, and the bottom of the bottom ply.
