Manage note folders

Make sure that the appropriate file is the work part before you try to create or manage any note folders. For example, if you create a note folder when the FEM file is the work part, you cannot rename or delete that folder when the Simulation file is the work part.

Create a folder

1. Choose Home tab→Utilities group→Note Manager .

2. In the Manage Folders group, select the Create New check box.

3. In the Enter Folder Name box, type a unique name for the folder.

4. Click Create Folder.Tip: To see the folder in the list table, clear the Create New check box.

5. Click Close.

Rename a folder

You cannot rename the ROOT folder, nor can you name any other folder ROOT.

1. Choose Home tab→Utilities group→Note Manager .

2. In the Manage Folders group, clear the Create New check box.

3. In the list table, click the folder name, type the new name, and press Enter.

4. Click Close.

Delete a folder

You cannot delete the ROOT folder.

Caution:

Deleting a folder deletes all of the notes in that folder.

1. Choose Home tab→Utilities group→Note Manager .

2. In the Manage Folders group, clear the Create New check box.

3. In the list table, right-click the folder that you want to delete, and then choose Delete.

4. Click Close.
