Aeroacoustic simulation using surface dipole

To transform pressure results from a CFD-based file for the definition of surface dipole acoustic sources in a Simcenter Nastran SOL 108 acoustic or vibro-acoustic or SOL 111 vibro-acoustic analysis:

  1. Specify an input file to process the external result data.

  2. Map the result data from a source to a target mesh.

  3. Execute other various data processing operations, such as Time Signal Processing.

  4. Execute the Model and Load Pre-processing pre-solver that writes out files in different formats, including an HDF5 file.

  5. Visualize the results with a preconfigured post-processing view before extracting the forces stored in the HDF5 file and using them in a Simcenter Nastran solution.Note: The HDF5 file is supported by SOL 108 and SOL 111 solutions and requires the FEM Adaptive Order (FEMAO) method.
