Post-processing > Loading and importing results
Managing how results are imported
You can use the check boxes in the Results tab of the Customer Defaults dialog box to set how you want the software to import the following types of results.
| For | Selecting the check box | Does the following |
|---|---|---|
| Unknown results | Unknown Results | The software attempts to read results it does not recognize. The results are unitless. |
| ODB zeroth results | Read ODB Zeroth Frame Results | The software attempts to read zeroth frame results in an Abaqus database results (.odb) file. |
| ANSYS coordinate systems | Filter Out ANSYS Nodal Coordinate Systems | When importing an ANSYS results (.rst) file, the software removes the list of nodal coordinate systems from the Post Processing Navigator.Nodal coordinate systems are usually not needed for post-processing and can be numerous. The Post Processing Navigator still lists any user-defined and ANSYS reserved coordinate systems (CSYS 1–10), in the model. Removing the list of nodal coordinate systems from the Post Processing Navigator minimizes the time required to display the results and reduces clutter in the Post Processing Navigator. The software continues to use the nodal coordinate systems when performing transformations. |
