Kinematic Driver dialog box

Type
Type Specifies the type of driver.DisplacementDisplaces slider, inline, cylindrical, or slider-universal joints by the distance you specify.RotationRotates the second node of revolute or cylindrical joints by the degrees you specify.ForceApplies the amount of force you specify to the second node of slider, inline, cylindrical, or slider-universal joints.TorqueApplies the amount of torque you specify to the second node of revolute or cylindrical joints. The orientation of each kinematic driver is the X-axis of the coordinate system for the element or the mesh associated data, or, if no coordinate system is defined, the absolute coordinate system.
Name
Name Sets the name of the kinematic driver. The name appears in the Load Container and the Information window.
Description Sets the description of the kinematic driver. The description appears in the Information window.
Destination Folder
Load Container Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which the load is stored. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command. To view a hierarchical list of existing folders, click Folder Manager . To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder.
Model Objects
Group Reference Lets you apply the driver to a group. For more information, see Group Reference options.
Select Object Lets you select the joint that you want to add the driver to.
Stacked Smart Selector Methods Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box.
Excluded Lets you remove individual entities from within the selected object.
Magnitude
For more information, see Additional magnitude options.
Displacement Appears when type is set to Displacement.Sets the distance the driver can displace the selected joint.
Rotation Appears when type is set to Rotation.Sets the degrees the driver can rotate the selected joint.
Force Appears when type is set to Force.Sets the amount of force that the driver can apply to the selected joint.
Torque Appears when type is set to Torque.Sets the amount of torque that the driver can apply to the selected joint.
