Teamcenter Integration for Simulation > Synchronize Teamcenter model structures with assembly FEMs
Open a CAEModel revision in Pre/Post
In the Teamcenter Navigator, search for or navigate to the CAEModel item.
Select the CAEModel revision and double-click it, or right-click the revision and choose Open.
In the Select Template Part dialog box, from the Units list, choose Millimeters or Inches.Caution: If your CAEModel revision references mesh bulk data, be sure to specify the correct units for the model here. The solver translator honors these units when importing mesh data to the new FEM.
Select the appropriate FEM template for your model.Notice that the New File Name and Attributes and Reference Part options are disabled. These values are determined by the object labels and relations defined in Teamcenter.
Click OK.Pre/Post creates the new FEM file. If the CAEModel revision is associated with a CAD item revision, Pre/Post generates polygon geometry ready for meshing. If the CAEModel references mesh bulk data, the mesh is imported using the specified units and solver language. Teamcenter adds the appropriate datasets and relations to the Teamcenter database when you save your data in Pre/Post.If the CAEModel revision is not related to a CAD item revision, you can choose Replace Ideal/Master Part to associate the FEM with a currently loaded CAD part, or browse Teamcenter to find the corresponding CAD item revision. You also have the option of creating an idealized part, specifying the bodies to use, and defining the geometry option, as when creating a new FEM.
