Map thermal or flow results to another model
The source and target solutions can be in the same Simulation file or in two separate Simulation files.
Open the source solution.(Optional) Create one or more mapping constraints in the source solution.Solve the source model to obtain the thermal or flow results you want to map.Note: If you create or modify mapping constraints in the source model at any point after you solve the source model, you must export these constraints before you execute the mapping.
Open the target solution.Right-click the Simulation and choose New solution to create the mapping solution.In the Solution dialog box, select Simcenter 3D Thermal/Flow, Simcenter 3D Electronic Systems Cooling, or Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal from the Solver list and Mapping or Axisymmetric Mapping from the Analysis Type list.Fill out the options on the Mapping Details and Optional Output tabs.Create one or more Mapping Target Set constraints in the target solution.This step is optional for thermal mapping, but highly recommended for flow mapping.If you created one or more mapping constraints in the source solution, create matching target zone constraints in the mapping solution.In the mapping solution, click Solve to execute the mapping.
Perform a structural analysis on your target model or post process the mapped results.
