Adjust Node Proximity to CAD Geometry dialog box
| Nodes to Check | |
|---|---|
| Nodes to Check | Lets you control the nodes for which the software evaluates the proximity to the CAD geometry.Selected: Evaluates the locations of the nodes you select.Displayed: Evaluates the locations of all currently displayed nodes. |
| Proximity Settings | |
| Include Midnodes | Controls whether the software includes the midnodes of parabolic elements in the proximity check.Select Include Midnodes to check the proximity of the elements' midnodes to the underlying geometry as well as the corner nodes.Clear the Include Midnodes check box to check only the proximity of the elements' corner nodes. |
| Tolerance | Lets you specify the tolerance the software uses to evaluate a node's proximity to the CAD edge or face.If a node's distance from the underlying CAD geometry is within this value, it passes the proximity check. If a node's distance from the underlying CAD geometry exceeds this value, it fails the proximity check. |
| Display Settings | |
| Show Out of Tolerance Nodes | Select this option to have the software graphically indicate nodes that fail the proximity check |
| Show Node Labels | Select this option to display the labels (IDs) of nodes that fail the proximity check. |
| Original Node Locations | Lets you specify the color the software uses to indicate the original locations of any adjusted nodes. |
| Adjusted Node Locations | Lets you specify the color the software uses to indicate the new locations of any adjusted nodes. |
| List Nodes | Generates a detailed listing of the proximity check results in an information window. |
| Adjust Nodes | Moves the locations of any failing nodes so that they lie within the specified proximity tolerance. |
