Physical Property Table
Name Defines the name of the physical property table.
Label Defines the unique numeric identifier for the physical property table.
Properties
Material Assigns an isotropic material to the associated 1D beam elements.Select a material from the list of materials assigned to the model, or click Choose material to define a new material.
Section Type Specifies the type of cross section to assign to curves.ConstantSpecifies that the beam section is identical at all points along the element’s length.TaperedSpecifies that the beam section tapers. The taper is defined as a linear transition from the section defined as the Fore Section to the section defined as the Aft Section.Tip: To view positive and negative directions of the 1D mesh, right-click the 1D mesh node in the Simulation Navigator and choose Display Section.
Fore Section****Aft Section Specify the appropriate beam cross sections. Choose a previously defined section from the list or click Show Section Manager to define a new section.Aft Section appears when Section Type is set to Tapered.
Apply taper to Appears when Section Type is set to Tapered.Specifies how the taper is applied. Each Element(1) Applies the taper to each element.End Nodes of Chain(2) Applies the taper between the end nodes of a chain.
Non-Structural Mass per Length, End A****Non-Structural Mass per Length, End B Specify the mass per length of the associated 1D beam element for each end.
Radiation Activates radiation calculations for the elements in the mesh collector.
Thermo-Optical Properties Defines the emissivity for modeling radiation.Black BodyDefines an emissivity of 1.Thermo-Optical Properties Defines a constant or temperature-varying emissivity.Select Black Body or a modeling object from the list, or click Create Modeling Object to define a new modeling object.Click Edit to modify the specified modeling object.
These options are available when you click More Options .
Find Lets you search for an object by entering the full name of the object. For example, to find a group named ABC_group, you must type ABC_group into the search box. After typing the name, press Enter or click Find . If the object is found, it will be selected automatically.
Filter by Name Lets you filter the list by the names of the objects. This filter supports wildcards. The default wildcard of * displays all entries in the list. For example, to filter the list to display every object with a name starting with the letter "a," enter a* as the filter string.
Find Starts the find or filter operation.
