Nodes to Edge Gluing dialog box (Simcenter Samcef Structure)
| Name | |
|---|---|
| Name | Sets the name of the gluing constraint that appears in the Simulation Navigator under the Simulation Objects Container node. |
| Description | Sets the description. |
| Destination Folder | |
| Simulation Objects Container | Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which the gluing constraint will be stored. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command. |
| Source Region (slave) | |
| Source Region | Lets you select the Source Region (nodes) of the gluing. For more details on the Samcef Regions, see Region dialog box (Simcenter Samcef). |
| Target Region (master) | |
| Target Region | Lets you select a Target Region (edges) of the gluing. For more details on the Samcef Regions, see Region dialog box (Simcenter Samcef). |
| Swap Regions | |
| Swap Regions | Lets you swap defined regions. |
| Parameters | |
| Parameters | Lets you define the gluing general parameters. For more details, see Gluing Parameters (APS) dialog box (Simcenter Samcef) |
| Advanced Parameters | |
| Translation Stiffness (KTRA) | Lest you define the translation stiffness. |
| Shell Behavior (ROTATION) | Select this checkbox if you only glue shells. Clear this check box if the source nodes come from 3D volumes. |
| Ignore Offset (EQUI) | Appear when you select Shell Behavior (ROTATION).Select the Ignore Offset (EQUI) check box to ignore offsets or gaps between the source and the target.Note: As a result, the bending moment between the source and the target no longer exists, but rotational rigid body modes are now locked. For more information, see the EQUI parameter of the Samcef .APS command. |
| Material (MAT) | Appear when you clear the Shell Behavior (ROTATION) check box.If temperatures are defined in the model, stresses can occur in the gluing due to the rigid behavior assumption of the glue. The thermal expansion coefficient of this Material will be used to avoid these stresses.Click Choose material or select a material from the Materials list.Note: If this material is omitted when a temperature field is defined in the model, unwanted stresses may occur during the gluing process. For more information, see the MAT parameter of the Samcef .APS command. |
| Advanced Options | |
| User Defined Parameters | Lets you manually define .APS parameters.Note: The added text must be compliant with the Samcef Command Language terminology. For more information, see the Samcef documentation.Note: This property may be filled during the import a Samcef bank if some imported parameters are unknown to this simulation object. |
| Ancillary Display | |
| For more details, see Ancillary Display dialog box (Simcenter Samcef) | |
| Card Name | Displays the name of the solver card this object will write to : .APS . |
