Retain Layout State dialog box

| New | Saves a new layout state in the Simulation file. Lets you name the layout state. The layout states are stored separately for FEM, Simulation, and AFEM files, depending on which is the displayed and work part. Note: To save the layout state as an external file, use the Export right-click command. The file is saved in an .lsx file that you can edit. For more information, see Manage layout states. |
| Existing | Appears when a saved layout state is present.Overwrites the selected layout state with the new one. Select the layout state from the list. |
| Name | Appears when New is selected.Sets the name of the layout state. |

| Elements Visibility | Specifies whether to save the visibility settings of the mesh or individual elements in the post view.By MeshSaves the layout state based on the visibility settings of the mesh in the post view. For example, you turned off the display of the mesh through the visibility check boxes in the Post Processing Navigator and you want to retain that visibility. By Element IDsSaves the layout state based on the visibility settings of individual elements in the post view. For example, you hid individual elements using the Hide command and you want to retain that visibility. |
| Retain Annotations | Specifies whether to save the annotations with the layout state (Yes) or ignore them (No). |
