Results
Results Type Specifies the type of results to view in real-time in the Solution Control Monitor graphics window. Available results depend on the analysis type and the specified output requests.**None (Mesh Only)**Displays only the mesh.TemperatureDisplays instantaneous solid temperature results for solutions with thermal results.Fluid TemperatureDisplays instantaneous fluid temperature results for solutions with flow results.Static PressureDisplays instantaneous static pressure results for solutions with flow results.VelocityDisplays instantaneous velocity vector results for solutions with flow results.Velocity MagnitudeDisplays instantaneous velocity magnitude results for solutions with flow results.
Range Modifies the range of values used to display the results with the minimum and maximum values specified in the Min and Max boxes. The default values are based on the instantaneous results and their units you defined for the solution.
View Sections Specifies the method to create cutting planes for a specified location on the model. No ClippingDisplays the model without a cutting plane.ClippingSlices through the model and shows only the selected portion.Cut SideCuts through the model and shows the interior results of the selected portion of the model.Cut Both SidesCuts through the model and shows the results for both sides of the cross section surface.
Plane Clips or cuts using the X, Y, or Z plane of the displayed coordinate system.
Reverse Direction Displays the opposite side of the cutting plane.
Offset Controls the position of the cutting plane.
Display Available when Results Type is set to Velocity. Specifies the post-processing display type, which tracks the vector results data on your model.ArrowsDisplays vector results as arrows.Streamlines****Displays velocity results using streamline tubes that show the path taken by the particles. Each point along the streamline is tangent to the velocity vector of the fluid flow.To modify the display of the arrows or streamlines, click Options to open the Streamlines or Arrows dialog boxes and set your preferences. For more information, see Arrows dialog box and Streamlines dialog box.
Results Probe Available when Results Type is set to Velocity magnitude.Lets you select a node on the surface of the model to identify its current result value and its X, Y, and Z-coordinates, which is helpful for inspecting displacement. To probe node results, press A and select a node on the model.
View Options
Export Image Takes a screen shot of the displayed results and generates a PNG image in the solution directory.
Anti-aliasing Turns on anti-aliasing to smooth jagged edges in the model, by averaging the colors of the pixels.
Orient View Sets the preset model orientation in the Solution Control Monitor graphics window.—Orients the model perpendicular to the X coordinate.—Orients the model perpendicular to the Y coordinate.—Orients the model parallel to the Z coordinate.
Annotations Pinpoints the location of the results minimum and maximum values in the Solution Control Monitor graphics window. It also displays the element or node ID, where the minimum and maximum values occur in the model, and the corresponding magnitudes, repectively.
Mesh Display
Entity Available when the Results Type is set to None (Mesh only).Specifies an entity to display in the Solution Control Monitor graphics window.NoneDisplays only the model geometry.FluidDisplays the fluid mesh entity.Thermal-NodalDisplays the thermal mesh nodes entity for finite volume discretization.Thermal-ElementalDisplays the thermal mesh elements entity for finite element discretization.
Color Available when the Entity is set to any option except None.Specifies the mesh entity color.DefaultSelects the default color that displays in the Solution Control Monitor graphics window.Red, Green, BlueSpecifies the mesh entity color using predefined names.
Edge Visibility Renders the element edges as a wire frame on the mesh while a result is displayed.
