Samcef environment
Contact mesh properties (Simcenter Samcef)
Use the Contact Mesh command to create point-to-point contact between two edges (1) and (2) or a portion of two edges defined by limiting points.
You can specify the following Contact Mesh properties:
Tightening (3), which imposes a fixed relative position of the second edge against the first edge.
Stop (4), which prevents the second edge from making contact with the first edge.
You can also define the contact's Lower Bound and Upper Bound values.
By default, Simcenter Samcef determines the contact direction between the two edges. However, you can use the Mesh-associated data command to impose the contact direction (5).
