Create Directionality Field dialog box
This dialog box lets you create result variables, result probes, and directionality fields from acoustic or vibro-acoustic Nastran, Nastran with FEMAO, or acoustic or vibro-acoustic BEM solutions. These solutions must contain acoustic pressure results on spherical or hemispherical microphone meshes. You can reuse the created directionality fields in, for example, Ray Acoustics solutions to specify the directionality of point ray sources.
| Solution | |
|---|---|
| Solution | Lets you select a solution from a list of applicable solutions. |
| Subcase | Controls which subcase to use for creating the directionality field.FirstSelects the first subcase in the selected solution.LastSelects the last subcase in the selected solution.IndexLets you enter an index number in the Index box. |
| Index | Appears when Subcase is set to Index.Selects the subcase by index value. The value must be greater than or equal to 0. |
| Model Selection | |
| Selection Type | Lets you choose the selection type.NodesLets you select individual nodes from a spherical or hemispherical microphone mesh.Selection RecipeFrom the Simulation Navigator, lets you select a selection recipe that contains spherical or hemispherical microphone mesh nodes. |
| Select Object | Lets you select the nodes for which the software creates a result variable, result probe, and directionality field. |
| Stacked Smart Selector Methods | Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box. |
