Add a Simcenter Samcef superelement in an assembly FEM as a new component

In Pre/Post, you can add a Simcenter Samcef superelement in an assembly FEM as a new component and define a system model.

Follow these steps to add a Simcenter Samcef superelement in an assembly FEM as a new component.

  1. Be sure that the target assembly FEM is the displayed part.

  2. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the assembly FEM and choose Add Existing Component.The Add Component dialog box is displayed.

  3. Follow the procedure described in Add an existing FEM to an assembly FEM to add the Simcenter Samcef superelement creation base FEM to the assembly FEM.

  4. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the assembly FEM and choose Assembly Manager.The Assembly Manager dialog box is displayed.

  5. Use the Assembly Manager to resolve possible label conflicts.

  6. Now, you have to replace the superelement creation base FEM by its Simcenter Samcef binary (*.sdb) equivalent.Follow the procedure in Replace base FEM component with a Simcenter Samcef superelement to achieve this goal.

  7. Click OK.
