Creating a Simcenter Samcef superelement for Pre/Post system models

In the Simcenter Samcef environment, you can perform superelement reductions on FE components. You create this reduction by defining a structural Superelement Creation solution. In this solution:

  • You can create a Static or a Dynamic superelement. You can also Convert a Superelement from Other Solver (Nastran, PERMAS, or ANSYS).

  • You can choose between several representations for the superelement. For more information, see Superelement representations (Simcenter Samcef).

  • When you create a Dynamic superelement:You can choose the eigenmodes you want to compute. For more information, see Select modes to compute for a dynamic superelement (Simcenter Samcef). You can choose between different condensation algorithms. For more information, see Condensation algorithms for a dynamic superelement (Simcenter Samcef). You can validate your superelement. For more information, see Validation of a dynamic superelement (Simcenter Samcef).

  • You can reduce the size of the superelement files for exchange purposes. For more information, see Reduced superelement database (Simcenter Samcef).

  • You can define output requests. For more information, see Output requests in superelements (Simcenter Samcef).

  • You can create a superelement for a whole assembly FEM.
