1D mesh to face connections
Use the 1D Mesh to Face type of 1D Connection to connect nodes on 1D meshes to nodes on selected polygon faces. This option is useful when you need to connect the free nodes on a 1D lattice mesh to nodes on the faces of a solid mesh.
The software projects the selected nodes along a normal onto the specified face.
If the projected node falls outside of the face but within this tolerance value, the software uses the node to create the specified type of connection element.
If the projected node falls outside of the face and outside of this tolerance value, the software does not use the node to create the specified type of connection element.
