Define Nastran solution parameters

1. Click Modeling Objects . Select Solution Parameters from the Type list and click Create.Alternatively, click Create Modeling Object on the Create Solution dialog box.

2. Enter a name and label for the solution parameters modeling object.

3. Parameters are listing in alphabetized groups. Click to expand the group containing the parameter you want to add.See Parameter Descriptions in the Simcenter Nastran Quick Reference Guide for a complete description of all solution parameters and valid values for each.

4. Specify a value for the parameter:If the parameter uses a defined list of valid values, select the value from the list.If the parameter takes a character string, enter the characters in the text box.If the parameter takes a real number, enter the value or use the tools in the drop-down list to define the number.

5. Click Add to add the specified parameter to the PARAM bulk data entry.

6. Repeat steps 3 – 5 for each parameter you want to add.

7. Click OK.The solution parameters modeling object appears in the Selection box on the Modeling Objects Manager dialog, and in the list of defined solution parameter modeling objects for the Parameters option on the Create Solution dialog box.

Edit Nastran solution parameters

1. Click Modeling Objects . Select the object from the Selection box and click Modify .Alternatively, click Modify Selected on the Create Solution dialog box.

2. Defined parameters are listed in the Specified Properties group on the Solution Parameters dialog box. Modify the current value, or click Remove to remove the parameter.

3. To add additional parameters, click to expand the Unspecified Properties group.
