Create a thermostat
You can start with either a simulation file or a FEM file in which the analysis type is set to Thermal or Coupled Thermal-Flow.
Open the Modeling Objects Manager dialog box in one of these ways:Choose Home tab→Properties group→Modeling Objects . In the Thermal Loads dialog box, in the Heater Control group, select Modeling Objects Manager.
Select Thermostat and click Create.
In the Thermostat dialog box, specify a name for the modeling object.
From the Temperature Sensor list, specify how the temperature sensor is defined. For a Selected temperature sensor type, select an object using the Select Object option to locate the temperature sensor, or select the Group Reference check box to apply the temperature sensor to a selected group of elements. For a Non-Geometric Element temperature sensor type, select a non-geometric element modeling object from the Non-Geometric Element list, or click Create Modeling Object to create a non-geometric element.
Enter the Cut-in Temperature and Cut-off Temperature for the thermostat.
Click OK.
For a steady state model, you can use the Thermostat options on the Solution Details page in the Solution dialog box to specify how the solver handles the thermostatic information.
