Automatically generate an assembly FEM using a Teamcenter structure map

1. Open the CAD assembly by choosing File→Open.Browse to, or search for, the CAD assembly.In the Assembly Load Options group, select the Revision Rule and other load options necessary to open the desired configuration of the CAD structure. The assembly FEM that Teamcenter generates is based on the revisions that are loaded.Click OK.

2. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the CAD assembly and choose Autogenerate New Assembly FEM.

3. In the Autogenerate New Assembly FEM dialog box, select Structure Map as the Method.

4. Select the structure map by doing one of the following:Select Last Executed and choose from one of the last five structure maps used from the Last Executed drop down list.Select Selection and click Select Structure Map and select the structure map item revision from Teamcenter.

5. Click OK.The Create CAE Structure dialog appears when Teamcenter has successfully executed the structure map.

6. Click Yes to open the new Assembly FEM.

7. View the Structure Map Activity Log in the Information window and close the Information window when done.
