Solver support for non-ASCII characters
Pre/Post follows the Unicode international standard to store multi-byte character data using UTF–8 encoding. Although Pre/Post supports the use of multi-byte characters, many third-party software packages that interface with Pre/Post, such as finite element solvers, support only ASCII character data.
Caution:
Pre/Post does not provide an error message if the solver receives unsupported characters. You must verify that your solvers will support your desired locale before implementing localization.
