Define coupled DOF

  1. Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Manual Coupling . Note: In Abaqus or ANSYS, select Manual Coupling from the Simulation Object Type list.

  2. In the Manual Coupling dialog box, select Coupled DOF from the Type list.

  3. In the Independent Node group, click Independent and select the independent node or vertex.

  4. In the Dependent Objects group, click Dependent and select the dependent nodes, faces, edges, curves, points, or vertices.

  5. Use the Degrees of Freedom options to specify which DOF to couple.

  6. Click OK.The constraint is applied to the model.
