Linear static solution options (Simcenter Samcef)

To set up solver options for a Linear Static Analysis solution, you can:

  • Define the Default Reference Temperature (.GEL TEMP). For more information, see Reference and Initial Temperatures in Samcef (Simcenter Samcef).

  • Define Prolog and Epilog text. For more information, see Customizing a Simcenter Samcef input file with user defined text.

  • Specify Output Requests. For more information, see Samcef output requests.

  • Specify the Solver Type algorithm to use, define several Contact Friction parameters, or select an Equations Reordering method.

  • Activate Chaining with a previously solved solution. For more information, see Chaining solutions (Simcenter Samcef).

Evaluate time-dependent boundary conditions

When a time-varying boundary condition is included in a solution that varies over a different independent domain than the boundary condition, the software evaluates the boundary condition using the Evaluation Time value that you define in the Boundary Condition Control Variables in the General page of the solution.

User-defined solver parameters

In the User page of the solution, you can manually define solver parameters for the .ALGO, .SAM, or .GEL Samcef commands.

Note:

The text you add must be compliant with the Simcenter Samcef command language terminology. For more information, see the Simcenter Samcef documentation.
