Define a hydrostatic pressure load

  1. Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Hydrostatic Pressure .

  2. In the Hydrostatic Pressure dialog box, in theModel Objects group, click Select Object and select the geometry or FE entity to which the pressure will be applied.

  3. In the Liquid Surface group, click Specify Vector and select the downward direction from the surface of the liquid. For more information, see Vector dialog box.

  4. Click Specify Point, and select a point to define the location of the surface. For more information, see Point dialog box.

  5. Define the Liquid Density in one of these ways:Select Expression to use a constant value or expression to define the value. For more information, see Expressions. Select Field to define a value that varies with temperature. For more information, see Using fields and expressions to define boundary conditions.

  6. Enter expressions or fields for Gravitation Constant and Surface Pressure.

  7. Click OK.The load is applied to the model.
