Manage layout states

Rename a layout state

In the Simulation Navigator or Post Processing Navigator:

  1. Right-click a layout state and choose Rename.

  2. Type a new name and press Enter.

In the Scenario Based Data-Visualization Navigator:

  1. In the Viewports node, in the Value column, right-click the layout state name and choose Rename Layout State.

  2. Type a new name and press Enter.

Delete a layout state

You cannot delete the active work layout state. To delete it, make another layout state the active layout state.

In the Simulation Navigator or Post Processing Navigator:

  • Right-click a layout state and choose Delete.

Delete all work layout states but the active

In the Simulation Navigator or Post Processing Navigator:

  • Under the Layout States node, right-click the Work folder, and choose Clear.

Step through the layout states

Display the next or previous layout state.

  • Choose Results tab→Layout States group→Activate Next or Activate Previous .

Copy and move a layout state

You can create a copy of a work or archived layout state and move it to the other folder. For example, you can copy a work layout state and move it to the Archived folder.

In the Simulation Navigator or Post Processing Navigator:

  • Right-click a layout state and choose Copy to Work or Copy to Archived.
