Samcef SAMPAD import tool and log file (Simcenter Samcef)

When you load the Simcenter Samcef results of your model solve, the Simcenter Samcef results importer SAMPAD monitor opens in an external window.

This process controls the import process and is useful for Troubleshooting import of Simcenter Samcef results.

It also logs important information in the [simulation_file_name]_srapi.log log file. This file is located in the same folder as the results files and contains:

• Some information on the model:Model ... Units: Mass=METRICTON Length=MILLIMETER Temperature=CELSIUS ... 1898 Nodes    in [1-1898] ... 1399 Elements in [1-1399] ... 1399 Structural Elements ... 2 Nodal Groups ... 3 Elemental Groups For instance: ... Units:The units found in the model you load results from. These units are used to convert the Samcef result values to the model unit system used by this software.Note: If no unit system is found in the Simcenter Samcef .sdb database, results are still imported, but are not converted into the model unit system used by this software. ... 2 Nodal Groups ... 3 Elemental GroupsThe Simcenter Samcef .SEL groups available in the model, again fetched from the Samcef .sdb database.

Note:

The [simulation_file_name]_srapi.log is also one of the file you check when troubleshooting the import of results. For more information, see Troubleshooting import of Simcenter Samcef results.
