Aligning axes of post-processing scenarios

When working with multiple plots in post-processing scenarios, use the Align Axes command to automatically align all axes that display the same value so you can more easily compare them visually.

The Align Axes command aligns the following properties:

  • Limits — All axes showing the same measure are updated to show the common minimum and maximum values across all plots.

  • Scale — All axes showing the same measure are set to the same scale type, such as linear, logarithmic, decibel, banding, and so on.

The plots must have been created from post-processing scenarios.

When you select the Align Axes command, the software applies the quantities of the first axis it encounters, starting left-to-right, top-to-bottom, to all graphs in the main graphics window as well as separate windows.

Example

This example shows a four-view layout with graphs in each viewport with the type of Y-axis set to linear. In the first graph, the Y-axis is changed to dB. To better compare the axes, the example then uses the Align Axes command to change the type of the Y-axes for the other graphs to dB.
