Waterfall of Frequency to Order Cut dialog box
This modeling object lets you specify the orders to extract from a Model and Load Pre-processing input file and specify the type to define the frequency bandwidth.
| Name | |
|---|---|
| Sets the name of the waterfall of frequency to order cut node in the Simulation Navigator. | |
| Order Selection | |
| Lets you specify the orders that the software extracts from the input file.First Order, Last Order, and Order Step values define how many and which orders to extract. For example, a first order of 1, last order of 6, and order step value of 0.5 extracts every half order between order 1 and 6. The result is orders 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6. | |
| Method | |
| Options | Specifies the method to use for the order extraction.InterpolationThe Y value of the order cut is for each RPM value at the exact order, using interpolation in the amplitude or phase domain.Order Bandwidth, Percentage of Order, Frequency Bandwidth, or Spectral LinesThe software extracts the orders from the waterfall data by summing (root sum of squares) the spectrum values in a certain narrow band at each RPM value. The narrow band is positioned symmetrically around the exact order value. |
| Order Bandwidth | Appears when Options is set to Order Bandwidth.Specifies a width of a given fixed order. For example, when you specify a bandwidth of 1, the width is ± 0.5. For order 2, this equals to 2 ± 0.5 orders. |
| Percentage | Appears when Options is set to Percentage of Order.Specifies a width proportional to the order value itself. For example, when you specify 10%, the proportional width is ± 5%. For order 2, this equals to 2 ± 0.1 orders. |
| Frequency Bandwidth | Appears when Options is set to Frequency Bandwidth.Specifies a width expressed in Hz. For example, when you specify 20Hz, the width is ± 10 Hz. For order 2, this equals to 2 ± 10 Hz orders. |
| Number of Frequencies | Appears when Options is set to Spectral Lines.Specifies a given number of values in each spectrum centered around the order value. For example, sum over 3 values around order 2 when you specify 6 as bandwidth. |
