Flow Output Requests dialog box (Multiphysics)
You can set customer defaults for the thermal output requests in the File→Utilities→Customer Defaults dialog box, on the Simulation→Pre/Post→Simcenter 3D Multiphysics→Results Options tab.
| Modeling Object | |
|---|---|
| Name | Sets the name for the modeling object. |
| Label | Sets a unique numeric identifier for the modeling object. |
| Properties | |
| Description | Lets you enter a description for the modeling object. |
| Control****All On/Off | Lets you select or deselect all output requests. |
| 3D Flow tab | Specifies 3D flow output requests. For more information, see 3D flow output requests. |
| 1D Flow tab | Specifies 1D flow output requests. For more information, see Radiative source flux output requests. |
| Entity Selection | |
| You can specify results requests on the 3D Flow tab or the 1D Flow tab. The entity selection is the same for all requests on a single tab, but is different for requests on different tabs. | |
| Entity | Specifies whether the software computes, stores, and displays the requested output results on all entities or only selected entities.AllComputes requested output results on all elements, all nodes, or all elements and nodes in the model.SelectedComputes requested output results on selected geometry, nodes, elements, or groups. |
| Group Reference | Appears when Entity is set to Selected.Applies the requested output results to the selected group. For more information, see Group Reference options. |
| Select Object | Appears when Entity is set to Selected.Lets you select geometry, nodes, or elements to request the output results on them.Excluded lets you remove individual entities from within your selected object. Note: The Element Selection Filtering options are available when the Type Filter list on the Top Border bar is set to Elements. |
| Stacked Smart Selector Methods | Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box. |
| Optional Output Format tab | |
| Tecplot | Outputs all supported 3D flow results to Tecplot format. |
| CGNS | Outputs all supported 3D results to CGNS format. For a transient solution, you can request multiple CGNS files from the Transient Results list.Single FileGenerates one CGNS results file, which contains results from all transient output times.Multiple FilesGenerates multiple CGNS results files, each of which contains results from one transient output time. For a steady state solution, the software always generates one CGNS results file that contains the steady state results. For more information, see CFD export to CGNS and CGNS output files. |
| ParaView | Outputs all supported 3D flow results to ParaView format. |
