Use a reference field in a thermal stress analysis
Create a thermal solution. Create the FE mesh, apply thermal loads and constraints, and solve the model.
In the Post Processing Navigator, display the Temperature – Nodal results.
Right-click the post view node and choose Create Field from Result. The Create Field dialog box appears.
In the Create Field dialog box, in the Type group, select Reference Field.
In the Domain group, from the Dependent Domain list, select Temperature.
Click OK.
Create a structural solution. Apply structural loads and constraints.
Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Temperature .The Temperature dialog box appears.
In the Temperature dialog box, in the Type group, select Temperature.
Select the model geometry.
In the Magnitude group, in the Temperature row, click and choose Select Existing Field from List .The Fields dialog box appears.
In the Fields dialog box, select the reference field and click OK.
In the Temperature dialog box, click OK.
Solve the structural model and post-process the results.
