Solver monitor (Simcenter Samcef)

In the Solver Monitor, you can view or parse the Simcenter Samcef .log log file and .res listing file. You can also edit the Simcenter Samcef .run configuration file.

Solution monitor commands

Action	Description
View File in Monitor	View the file in the Solver Monitor window.
View Parse Data in Monitor	Parse the file and view the parsed data in the Solver Monitor window.
Open in Text Editor	Edit the file.

Monitored files

File extensions	Description	Available actions
.res file	Simcenter Samcef listing file.	View File in Monitor, View Parse Data in Monitor
.log file	Solve log file.	View File in Monitor, View Parse Data in Monitor
.run file	Run configuration file. This file contains Simcenter Samcef control parameters you can modify to change the running process behavior. For more details on these advanced parameters, see The .run configuration file (Simcenter Samcef).	View File in Monitor, View Parse Data in Monitor Open in Text Editor: only during the run. This file is deleted after the run.
