Type (Not available in Simcenter 3D Results Viewer)
Export Exports a universal file to the specified directory.
Create Field Exports the combined results as a field.
Input
Result Lists all loaded solutions and imported results.
Iteration/Load Case Lists load cases, subcases, steps, iterations, or modes for the selected result set.Select All to quickly select all iterations for the selected result set.
Result Type Lists available results types for the selected load case.
Units Specifies the units used to define the selected result type.
Result type list Lists all components or result types on which to perform the results manipulation operation. The following column headings are displayed:Expression Name lists the expression name assigned to the selected result types. Right-click a component in the table and choose Edit to rename the expression.Units displays the current units for the listed component or result type.Result lists the Simulation name and solution name for the corresponding solver output file.Load Case lists the solution step or subcase in the selected solution.Result Type lists the specified result type.Right-click a column head or empty table cell and choose Export to Browser or Export to Spreadsheet to document your results expressions.
Add specified type to list Adds the selected result type to the result type list.
Delete selected type from list Removes the result type from the result type list.
Delete all types from list Removes all result types from the result type list.
Formula
Text box Displays the formula to apply to all selected result types.Enter the formula using standard expressions.Tip: In the result type list, the expression name for each selected result type is listed in the first column. Right-click a result type in the result type list and choose Insert to add its expression name to the Formula text box.
Units System
From Result Inherits the units system used in the specified results set. Select a loaded results set from the list.
User Defined Lists the results units in which the results are imported. Click Change to select new units from the Result Units dialog box.
None Infers the output results system from the current part or results file.
Error Handling
Incompatible Results Specifies how to treat incompatible data at nodes or elements in any of the selected components or result types.SkipIgnores nodes or elements where the component or result type contain incompatible data. AbortAbandons the operation.
No Data Specifies how to treat selected components or result types when data at nodes or elements is absent or incomplete.SkipIgnores the node or element where component or result type data is missing.Zero-fillOutputs a value of zero for the missing data.
Evaluation Errors Specifies how to treat data at nodes or elements when evaluating the specified expression would return an error (as, for example, division by zero or the square root of a negative number).SkipIgnores the node or element where the error occurred. Zero-fillOutputs a value of zero at the node or element where the error occurred.AbortAbandons the operation.
Output (Export type or for Simcenter 3D Results Viewer)
The following options are available when the Type is set to Export or for Simcenter 3D Results Viewer.
Create Result Specifies the type of solution to create:CompanionCreates a universal file and automatically adds it as a companion result to the specified solution.Full****Full is the only choice available in Simcenter 3D Results Viewer.Creates a universal file.
Companion Solution Appears only when Create Result is set to Companion.Specifies the name of the solution in the current model to add the companion results to. Choose a solution from the list.

Load Result Immediately Controls the loading of the load case under the result in the Post Processing Navigator. Not available for Simcenter 3D Results Viewer.Select the Load Result Immediately check box to automatically load the load case. Clear the Load Result Immediately check box to manually unload and then reload the results to display the newly created load case.
Solution Name Appears when Create Result is set to Full. Not available for Simcenter 3D Results Viewer.Specifies the name for the imported solution. This is the name that appears in the Simulation Navigator.
Create Solution Appears when Create Result is set to Full. Not available for Simcenter 3D Results Viewer. When selected, imports the universal file to the working Simulation file and creates a new solution. Clear this check box to export the universal file without creating a new solution.
Append Method Appears only when Create Result is set to Companion.Determines how companion results appear in the Post Processing Navigator:Create new load caseCompanion results appear as a new load case in the specified solution.Merge into primary result dataCompanion results appear as a results type in the current load case of the specified solution.
Universal File Specifies the path and filename for the resulting universal file.Enter a path and filename in the text box, or click Browse to navigate to an appropriate location.
Result Type Lists available result types. This is the result type that is displayed in the post view header.
