Override thermal properties

Override emissivity

This example shows how to override the emissivity value of an entity whose properties are already defined. The original emissivity must have been defined using a Thermo-Optical Property modeling object and used in the mesh collector you are overriding.

  1. Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Override Set — Thermal Properties .

  2. In the Override Set — Thermal Properties dialog box, from the Type list, select Emissivity.

  3. In the Region group, select the entities for which you want to override the emissivity value.

  4. In the Magnitude group, in the Emissivity box, type the new emissivity value.

  5. Click OK.

You can use this same procedure to override any other thermal properties in the Type list.
