Post-processing aeroelastic trim analysis results
When you load aeroelastic trim analysis results from a Simcenter Nastran Static Aeroelastic Response (SOL 144) solution, you can post-process the results like you can any results. For example, you can plot displacements, stress, pressure, and pressure coefficients.
Plot of displacement magnitude for SOL 144 results
In addition, post-processing provides the following:
Display of information about the aeroelastic parameters.
Groups of aeroelastic elements for quick creation of plots.
Trim Analysis Results post-processing scenario.
Display of information about the aeroelastic trim parameters
Post-processing displays information about the aeroelastic parameters. If the solution contains one load case, the information appears in the legend of the post view (3). If the solution contains multiple load cases, the information appears in three locations:
(1) As tooltips in the Post Processing Navigator
(2) In the Description column of the Post Processing Navigator
(3) In the legend of a post view
The information includes the Mach number and dynamic pressure as shown in the figure.

Groups of aeroelastic elements for quick creation of plots
When you load aeroelastic trim analysis results, the Post Processing Navigator places these elements in a group, called AERO, under the post view. You can use this group to quickly display and hide the aeroelastic elements as shown in the figure.
AERO group displayed
To show only the group, in the Post Processing Navigator, expand the Groups node, right-click the AERO node, and choose Show or Show Only.
To hide the group, in the Post Processing Navigator, expand the Groups nodes, right-click the AERO node, and choose Hide.
You can also rename and delete the group.
Trim Analysis Results post-processing scenario
You can use the Trim Analysis Results post-processing scenario to visualize trim variable results and stability and control derivative coefficients from the results of Static Aeroelastic Response (SOL 144) analyses in .op2 files as XY plots.
For more information about the Trim Analysis Results post-processing scenario, see Trim Analysis Results scenario (SOL 144).
