Define a temperature load from an external file

You can apply temperature results from a previous analysis as a load in the current solution.

  1. Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Temperature Load .

  2. In the Temperature Load dialog box, select one of the following types depending on the solver you are using and the type of file you want to import: Temperature – External Time Unassigned (Simcenter 3D Multiphysics)Temperature – External Time Assigned (Nastran, Abaqus, ANSYS, Simcenter 3D Multiphysics) Temperature – External (Abaqus)

  3. From the File Type list, select the type of file to import and select the file from the Results File box.

  4. (Abaqus) In the Parameters group, set how you want the software to read the results file. For more information, see the Temperature dialog box (Nastran/Multiphysics/Samcef-Structural/Abaqus).

  5. Click OK.
