Copying CAE files

Choose Save As to create copies of the idealized part, FEM, and Simulation files that make up your model.

In Pre/Post, the Save As command behaves as it does in the Assemblies application.

  1. The software generates a Session Where Used report and displays it in the Information window. This report lists the loaded parent files of the displayed part.

  2. You are prompted to name each copied file.

  3. When all dependent files have been named, the software prompts you to confirm the Save As.

  4. Copies of the files are saved with the new names.
