Create a Thermal-Structural solution
Define conditions for a thermal analysis with thermal loads and constraints, using only the thermal material properties.
Solve the thermal solution. This outputs nodal temperatures and the nodal heat fluxes.
Create a structural solution.
Right-click the subcase or substep node and choose Edit.
In the Edit Solution Step or Subcase dialog, set the Pre-Load Type option to Temperature.
Browse for the results file from the thermal analysis.
Solve the structural solution.
In the Simcenter Samcef Environment
Define conditions for a thermal analysis.
Solve the thermal solution.
Create a structural solution.
Right-click the solution and choose Edit.
In the Solution dialog box, click the Chaining page, and select the Activate Chaining check box.
From the Chaining Type list, select Chained thermal-structural analysis or Chained thermal-structural analysis with dissimilar mesh.
In the Loadcase Selection group, from the Source Type list, select Solution, and from the Solution list, select the thermal solution.
Click OK.
