Project view

The project options define the location of the input and output files, and they set global options for the generated assembly, such as numbering and units. NVH Composer stores your settings in a project definition file when you save your project. You can then update the options in the project definition file (XLS/XLSX or XML) or in the NVH Composer application.

Option	Description
Project Name	Sets the name of the generated assembly FEM file. For example, if you enter Assembly_Car, Assembly_Car appears in the Simulation Navigator, the assembly FEM file is named Assembly_Car.afm, and the log file is named Assembly_Car.log.
Input Folder	Sets the location of the Input folder that contains input files for NVH Composer. NVH Composer uses this folder to locate the material MatML file, the component folders, and part files for the weather strip and seam weld connections.
Output Folder	Sets the location of the folder where the generated assembly FEM, log, and AssemblyChecks.xlsx files are written. All component FEM files are created in this folder in their own subfolders.
Material Database	Sets the user-defined material file (MatML) that is located in the Input folder.
Starting Numbers for Nodes/Elements	When the connections are meshed, each element is assigned an ID. To set the starting number for the connection element IDs, enter a value.
Starting Number for Properties	Reserved.
Starting Number for Axis Systems	Reserved.
Units of Length [Masses]	Sets the units of length to millimeter or meter.
Units of Mass [Masses]	Sets the units of mass to ton or kilogram.
