Harmonic Options dialog box (ANSYS)
| Properties | |
|---|---|
| Use Default Setting | Defines the number (integer) of sectors in the full 360° of the model. If you do not specify a value, the software automatically detects the number of sectors. |
| Excitation Engine Order | Specifies the angle (in degrees) that is spanned by the sector. If you multiply this angle by the specified Number of Sectors, the result should be 360°. The software relates the loading on the other sectgors to the basic sector based on the engine order phase shift. Typically, the engine order is the numbe rof stators or nozzles that disturb the flow field. |
| Damped Modal | |
| Perform Damped Modal | Controls whether the software performs a damped modal analysis on the reduced system.Select this check box to perform a damped modal analysis of the reduced system to obtain the complex frequencies. The software does not perform a harmonic solution.Clear this check box if you do not want the software to perform a modal analysis. The software performs a harmonic solution. |
| Number of Modes for Damped Model | Specifies the number of modes to calculate in the damped modal analysis. |
| Beginning of Frequency Range****Ending of Frequency Range | Lets you specify the upper and lower ends of the frequency range of interest in Hz for the damped modal analyiss. |
