Dynamic 9xxx Element Requests dialog box (Simcenter Samcef)
| Modeling Object | |
|---|---|
| Name | Sets a unique name for the modeling objectNote: For nonlinear analyses, time history graphs in Samcef have no name and are internally defined by a code ID. To ensure a better description of the result in the Post Processing Navigator view, Samcef creates a name string by combining: The user defined Name.A built-in keyname found in the Samcef solver dictionary from the given Category and Sub Category. The Location keyname. The selected degree of freedom. The selected element or node ID.This computed name can be long and may be truncated in the Post Processing Navigator view due to AFU limitations. Therefore, we recommend changing the default string of the Name to a short one. |
| Label | Sets a unique integer for the modeling object. This label also appears in the Modeling Objects Manager dialog box, and you can filter the objects listed in that dialog box by their label. |
| Properties | |
| Description | Sets a description for the modeling object. You can optionally click Description to open a text editor where you can enter or paste a longer description. |
| Category | |
| Category | Specifies the category of the result you want to define. |
| Sub Category | |
| User Code (STYP) | Appears when Category is set to User.Lets you select a subtype of result by manually entering a Samcef result code ID.For more information, see the .SAI command in the Samcef documentation. |
| User Selection | |
| User Code Additional Selection | Appears when Category is set to User.Lets you complete the definition of the User Code (STYP) by manually adding .SAI keywords. You can, for instance, define the following keywords: COMPTo define a component.SPLYTo define a ply selection.SNGTo define a integration point.FNUTo define a thermal membrane lower/upper face.Note: The keywords you define must be compatible with the User Code (STYP) value and the elements you select. |
| Location | |
| Location | Appears when Category is set to an element-based output request.Specifies the elements for which you want output. If you select shells as support for the result, use the Location list to choose the result position in the shell elements: BottomOnly select the lower skin version of the result.TopOnly select the upper skin version of the result.MiddleOnly select the midplane version of the result.AllSelect all the positions in the shell. For other elements types, set the Location list to Other Elements. |
| Dofs | |
| Dofs | Appears when Category is set to an element-based output request.Specifies the degrees of freedom or components you want to enable for the result. |
| Elements Selection | |
| Group Reference | Lets you use a group to select the elements. For more information, see Group Reference options. |
| Select Elements | Available when the Group Reference check box is cleared.Lets you select elements in the graphics window. |
| Stacked Smart Selector Methods | Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can apply multiple smart selector methods simultaneously. For more information, see Stacked smart selector methods. |
