Thermal material properties (Simcenter Samcef)
To create a Simcenter Samcef thermal material, you define the thermal material properties in either the Isotropic or Orthotropic dialog box.
In the Isotropic Material dialog box, you define:Mass Density (RHO) (Samcef M parameter). On the Thermal page, Thermal Conductivity (Samcef COND parameter) and Specific Heat (Samcef CAPA parameter). These properties can depend on the temperature, the degree of cure, or the glass transition temperature.
In the Orthotropic Material dialog box, you define:Mass Density (RHO) (Samcef M parameter). On the Thermal page, Thermal Conductivity (Samcef COND parameter) and Specific Heat (Samcef CAPA parameter). These properties can depend on the temperature, the degree of cure, or the glass transition temperature.
A .MAT BEHAV "THERMAL" entry is output to the Simcenter Samcef input file.
For more information, see the thermal material page in the Simcenter Samcef solver documentation.
