Result Lists all loaded solutions and imported results.
Iteration/Load Case Lists load cases, subcases, steps, iterations, or modes for the selected result set.Select All to quickly select all iterations for the selected result set.
Result Type Lists available results types for the selected load case.
Ply Appears when the model contains laminate materials.Specifies the ply number
Layer Appears when the model contains multi-layer shell elements.Specifies the shell element layer.
Component Lists components and derived quantities for the selected result criteria.
Location
These options appear when the model contains shell or beam elements.
Shell Section Available only for Stress – Element-Nodal and Strain – Element-Nodal results when the model contains 2D shell elements.Specifies the stress recovery points on shell elements.
Beam Section Available only for Stress – Element-Nodal and Strain – Element-Nodal results when the model contains 1D beam or bar elements.Specifies the stress recovery point on beam sections.
Beam Result
These options appear only when the model contains beam elements.
Derive Beam Results Available only for Stress – Element-Nodal and Strain – Element-Nodal results.Calculates beam stresses and strains from element forces and beam geometry.
Add Fillets Available only when Derive Beam Results is selected.Modifies beam section geometry to add fillets to interior corners. The fillet radius is determined by multiplying the Fillet Radius Scale Factor by the beam section wall thickness; the scale factor must be a value between 0 and 1.
Nodal Combination
Grid Point Force — Element-Nodal****None Results are not averaged or summed.Average AcrossCalculates a nodal average across all adjacent elements for elemental and element-nodal results. Use this feature for a smoother display of stress and/or strain results, for example.SumAt the nodes of the elements in consideration, this option sums the force data (for grid point force results) or moment data (for grid point moment results). This option is available only for Grid Point Force — Element-Nodal and Grid Point Moment — Element-Nodal results, and only if the structural output request for your solution specifies Grid Point Force. The following options appear for element-nodal results.MinimumFor each node, takes the minimum value of all the contributions of the adjacent elements that share the node. MaximumFor each node, takes the maximum value of all the contributions of the adjacent elements that share the node. Absolute MinimumFor each node, takes the absolute minimum value of all the contributions of the adjacent elements that share the node. Absolute MaximumFor each node, takes the absolute maximum value of all the contributions of the adjacent elements that share the node. Arithmetic MeanFor each node, compute the arithmetic mean of all the nodal values of the elements that share the node.DiscontinuityCompute several types of discontinuities. See below. For more details on these options, see Nodal combination options for element-nodal results.
The following options appear only when Nodal Combination is set to Average Across.
MIDs Averages across nodes at the boundary between elements with different material properties.
PIDs Averages across nodes at the boundary between elements with different physical properties.
Element Types Averages across nodes at the boundary between two different element types, such as 3D and 2D elements.
The following options appear only when Nodal Combination is set to Discontinuity.
Relative DiscontinuityCompute the relative discontinuity at nodes (percentage).Weighted DiscontinuityCompute a weighted discontinuity at nodes (percentage).Local DiscontinuityCompute the difference between the maximum and the minimum values.Locally Balanced DiscontinuityCompute a locally balanced discontinuity (percentage). For more details on these discontinuities, see Nodal combination options for element-nodal results.
Complex Options
Available when the loaded results set contains complex results.Determines the value returned at nodes for results in complex format:Real returns the real part of the complex result at nodes. Imaginary returns the imaginary part of the complex result at nodes.Amplitude returns the absolute amplitude of the complex result at nodes.Signed Amplitude returns the signed amplitude of the complex result at nodes. At Phase Angle returns the value at nodes of the complex result at a specified phase angle. Enter a phase angle in degrees in the text box.
Result Options
Coordinate System Specifies the coordinate system used to determine result components.
Unit Specifies the units used to define the selected result type.
Absolute Value For results that have both positive and negative values, specifies that the absolute value of results should be used when calculating maximum or minimum values.
Create Expression Creates a named expression and adds it to the table.
Expression table Lists all named results expressions to use in the reduction. The following column headings are displayed:Expression lists the expression name assigned to the selected result type and component. Result Type displays the specified result type.Component displays the specified result component.Units displays the current units for the listed component or result type.CSys displays the coordinate system used to determine result components.Right-click a column head or empty table cell and choose Export to Browser or Export to Spreadsheet to document your results expressions.
