Contact and glue conditions > Samcef contact and glue
Edge-To-Surface Gluing (Simcenter Samcef)
To glue edges (Source region) to a surface (Target Region), create a Edge-To-Surface Gluing simulation object.
When you solve or export your model, the options in the Edge-To-Surface Gluing dialog box define a Samcef .STICK or .PRITT command.
Select the Show Ancillary Display check box to display the ancillary view of the glue constraint in the graphics window. The software starts the Samcef gluing conditions quick solver to compute this view.
In Simcenter Samcef thermal analyses, you can choose between a Perfect or Interface Conductance type of gluing:
Perfect
Classic gluing, as in structural analysis.
Interface Conductance
True thermal gluing. The conservation of the normal heat flux and heat transfer across the contact region is ensured.
Supported analysis solutions
The Edge-To-Surface Gluing simulation object is available for all structural and thermal Simcenter Samcef solutions.
