Select attached elements

1. On the scene toolbar, from the Method list, select Attached Elements.The Type Filter is automatically set to Element.

2. Click Smart Selector Options .

3. In the Smart Selector Options dialog box, do one of the following:To select all connected elements, clear the Limit Iterations check box.To perform a finite number of search iterations, select the Limit Iterations check box selected and type a value in the Number of Iterations box.

4. From the Attached By list, choose whether the selected elements are connected via nodes, edges, or faces.

5. Click OK.

6. Specify the search target by doing one of the following:In the graphics window, select a single element.In the graphics window, select multiple elements by dragging a selection box around them.In the Simulation Navigator, select a group containing one or more elements.In the Simulation Navigator, select a selection recipe that contains one or more elements.
