Abaqus Step Control Parameters dialog box

Control Parameters
RESET Resets all values to their defaults.
DISCONTINUOUS ANALYSIS Sets parameters that usually improve efficiency for severely discontinuous behavior.
PARAMETERS or TYPE Controls whether you specify the PARAMETERS or TYPE parameter for the *CONTROLS keyword.
PARAMETERS= Controls the options the PARAMETERS parameter for the *CONTROLS keyword.Select TIME INCREMENTATION to set time incrementation control parameters.Select LINE SEARCH to set line search control parameters.Select CONSTRAINTS to set tolerances on constraint equations.Select FIELD to set parameters for satisfying a field equation.Select DIRECT CYCLIC to set parameters that Abaqus uses to control the stabilized state and plastic ratchetting detections. You can also use this option to specify when to impose the periodicity condition for direct cyclic analyses.Select VCCT LINEAR SCALING to set the β parameter that Abaqus uses with linear scaling for a VCCT debonding analysis.
Data Lines
Data Lines The options available depend on the option you select from the PARAMETERS= list.For more information about the different Data Lines options, see *CONTROLS in the Abaqus Keywords Reference Guide.
Beta Parameter Available when TYPE= is set to VCCT LINEAR SCALING.Lets you specify the value for the β parameter that Abaqus uses with linear scaling for a VCCT debonding analysis.
Iteration Number for Periodicity Condition First Imposed Available when TYPE= is set to DIRECT CYCLIC.Specifies the iteration number at which the periodicity condition is first imposed.
Stabilized State Detection Criterion Residual Coefficient Ratio Available when TYPE= is set to DIRECT CYCLIC.Specifies the stabilized state detection criterion for the ratio of the largest residual coefficient on any terms in the Fourier series to the corresponding average flux norm.
Stabilized State Detection Criterion Correction Coefficient Ratio Available when TYPE= is set to DIRECT CYCLIC.Specifies the stabilized state detection criterion for the ratio of the largest correction to the displacement coefficient on any terms in the Fourier series to the largest displacement coefficient.
Plastic Ratchetting Criterion Residual Coefficient Ratio Available when TYPE= is set to DIRECT CYCLIC.Specifies the plastic ratchetting detection criterion for the ratio of the largest residual coefficient on the constant term in the Fourier series to the corresponding average flux norm.
Plastic Ratchetting Criterion Correction Coefficient Ratio Available when TYPE= is set to DIRECT CYCLIC.Specifies the plastic ratchetting detection criterion for the ratio of the largest correction to the displacement coefficient on the constant term in the Fourier series to the largest displacement coefficient.
