Create a report template
Tip:
Before you can reuse a report template, you or your system administrator must import all its associated report commands into the report command libraries in the Report Command Manager. If a command is not in a library when you select to use a template, the Information window appears stating that the software could not find the command. For more information see, Import report commands to a library.
Synchronize the report commands associated with the report template to be sure that you have the latest versions. For more information see, Change and synchronize report templates.
Copy and rename a report template you want to use as the basis of your template.Look through the templates available locally or in a site location for one that closely meets your needs. Copy the template to editable location and rename it.
Edit the report template.Remove and add keywords to include images, text entities, user-defined information, and so on. Add arguments as needed. A keyword corresponds to the name of its associated report command, and the format of a keyword in a template: is:<<<*keyword* *arg1*="*value 01 value 02*" *arg2*=*value*>>>Add your own keywords that are associated with commands you wrote. Note: To help you understand the available report commands, their use, keywords, and arguments, generate a manual containing a listing of commands.
Format your template, including adding headers and footers for your company standards. The text inherits the format and styles you set for a keyword. Tables, however, must be formatted after you publish a report. The default style is plain grid.
Save the template in the site or user location.
